Google Docs recently added a fixed page view. While Google Docs has the power of brand on its side.
I'll admit to being a Google Docs user but only use it for notes and for spreadsheets to track client work.However, Google Docs is still too underpowered for my work as a technical writer. I can't envision myself writing a long document with Google Docs but I have written article drafts but later finished them in MS Word.
Zoho has been making some steady strides in the Web Office space but Google still has brand on its side so even the underpowered Google Docs is going to continue to garner attention from customers.
The addition of Fixed Page View is a positive move but Google Docs is still in the scratch page league and not yet ready for use in producing long and complex documents.
