I’ve been doing a lot of reading and research about telephony lately and came across and liking the developments I am finding on the mobile and cloud fronts. Cloud telephony is worth checking out if yourorganization that still depends on their old-school telephone Ma Bell telephone system in the the dusty old PBX closet  for conducting customer and other important business calls. Managing Offsite Technical Writing Projects With Do.com

I previously wrote about Do.com, gave it high marks, and then got to thinking about how it could work for managing offsite technical writing projects. I’ve had mixed experiences myself with offsite technical writing projects and while I still think some organizations are more equipped to deal with remote workers than others. However, I haven’t given up the hope that putting a management tool layer between the remote writer and those involved in the project at the mother ship couldn’t help improve communications and create an audit trail.

I’ve been following all the news about email bans in offices and the state of cloud based productivity tools in general lately. While I am a proponent of social media tools inside the enterprise, nothing cuts it as good old-fashioned forms based workflow in some environments. When I previously wrote about Adobe FormsCentral, a forms creation tool, it was easy to see where it could sit as foundational tool inside a virtual team or to take forms based process out of the email inbox.

The latest round of Adobe FormsCentral updates further cements it as a leader in electronic forms and a tool to consider if you want to move your forms from email to something more cloud-based and usable.
